Let’s start our discussion of Application with a simple verbal analogy. Take a moment and ponder the difference between looking “at something” and looking “along something.” The work you just finished with Interpretation is the process of looking “at something.” It's the step-by-step analysis of historical investigation as you answer the questions you raised during your Observational work. 

But now we discover ourselves in this final phase of True^North; Application. This is where your eyesight moves from focusing upon the details of Interpretation to now look along the path of these truths to where they point this very day. It's recalibrating our attention from “looking at” the facts about Jesus to now “looking along” the trail of salvation history He has made available to all people right down to today.
