Recruiting your Small Group or your "Disciple-in-the-making"

One of the activities I would love for you to "Consider" to go along with the material of this class is to have you recruit a person or persons to participate with you in the formation of Bible Study skills and materials. If you are part of a small group Bible Study, you or someone else is probably taking on the role of the leader or facilitator (I might use the title: "Disciple-maker.") This person will be working ahead through this class and will be putting together material to present to the rest of the group (let's call the rest of you "Disciples-in-the-making").

However, if your group is not yet formed, I might ask you to find others who would like to journey together with you as you walk through True^North. This can be with a brand-new Christian or someone who has been in the church for years. Keep in mind that In this class, you are not merely being taught new skills to read the Bible. But equally I am trying to "teach you so that you can teach others." That is the Kingdom way: being other-centered. Thus, the best assessment for the outcomes of this class is not if you can pass a test on True^North Bible Study skills. But can you teach these skills to others?
