Participant will become involved in a meaningful ministry approved by the Director of Practicums. Participant will submit a proposal showing how this ministry will be related to relational ministry and meet the objectives of the Practicum program.
Participant will serve as president of the student body demonstrating leadership and service qualities. This will require two semesters of service for one credit. Participant will submit a proposal to the Vice President: Campus Life (with copy to the Director of Practicums) showing how this activity will be related to relational ministry and meet the objectives of the Practicum program.

Participant will assist in the youth ministry of a local church. This includes working with both junior and senior high youth.
Participant will function as part of a local church or KU praise team as an instrumentalist or vocalist. This will involve team planning sessions and faithful participation in practice and worship settings. This may require two semesters of ministry for one credit.
Participant will run the camera, lights, or slides for each chapel service and will work closely with the Communications Department and Director of Worship to ensure the technologically smooth functioning of each service. This individual will be required to attend praise team rehearsals.
This course is designed to acquaint the student with the basic contents of the Old Testament (or Hebrew Scriptures) and enable the student to understand better this major portion of God’s revelation.
Participant facilitates the smooth running of the Tech Booth during all chapel services/events. They will work in close conjunction with the sound-desk operator, the Director of Worship, and other tech booth stewards to ensure the smooth running of each service. As well they will assist wherever needed, including stage setup and teardown.
Participant will serve in the resident hall as a Resident Assistant and will be responsible to assist in the spiritual development and interpersonal relationships of students, as well as serving as a liaison between the University and the students. This Practicum will require regular reporting to the Resident Director with a focus on ministry-type activities.
Participant will assist in a local Celebrate Recovery program. The Practicum will involve counselling and mentorship aspects. It could also involve engagement in many other areas such as food prep, platform presence, crowd control, set-up and clean up, etc.
Participant will serve as a spiritual leader and minister to members of a specific group or organization. This may include regular preaching, speaking, and one-on-one ministry.
Participant will fulfill the stated responsibilities of their elected position according to the constitution of the Student Council. This will require two semesters of service for one credit. Participant will submit a proposal to the Vice President for Campus Life (with copy to the Director of Practicums) showing how this activity will be related to relational ministry and meet the objectives of the Practicum program. This may require two semesters of ministry for one credit.
Participant will assist in a children’s ministry program. This ministry generally requires minimal preparation time and may require two semesters of ministry for one credit.
Participant will be responsible for a variety of activities assigned by the professor(s) such as tutoring, labs, and instruction. The ministry must include significant direct interaction with students. It may include some grading and administrative work.
This course provides an opportunity for students to assume a leadership role and assist with the first-year Regional Praxis weekly ministry.
This course allows students to focus on one aspect of compassion/social justice ministry for the entire semester, building on experiences gleaned in the Regional Praxis ministries in the first year of the program.
This course explores how communities and churches can partner together to solve complex social problems, especially in a poor, urban contexts.
